RAC Privacy Policy

1. Overview

RAC (“RAC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a rental affordability decision-support application. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use RAC.

2. Financial information you enter

RAC allows you to enter information such as income, recurring obligations, savings goals, reserves, rental costs, move-in costs, and other financial planning inputs so the app can generate affordability analyses and rental comparisons.

3. Local data and saved analyses

RAC may store analyses, comparison records, settings, or similar app information locally on your device so you can reopen and use them later.

4. PDF export and sharing

If you choose to generate, export, or share a RAC PDF, the report may contain financial and rental information from your analysis. Sharing is initiated by you through the device's available sharing options.

5. Sensitive credentials

RAC's core affordability calculations do not require your Social Security number, bank login credentials, credit-card credentials, or online banking password. Do not enter sensitive credentials into free-text fields.

6. Third-party platform services

RAC is distributed through Apple's App Store and may rely on operating-system or platform services for app distribution, PDF generation, file sharing, diagnostics, or subscription functionality. Those services may process technical information under their own privacy terms.

7. Analytics, diagnostics, and subscriptions

If RAC enables analytics, crash reporting, advertising attribution, or paid subscription services, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures should be updated to accurately describe those services.

8. Data sales

RAC does not sell the financial inputs you enter into the app.

9. Children's privacy

RAC is not directed to children under 13 and is intended for people evaluating rental housing and household affordability.

10. Security

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. RAC is designed to minimize unnecessary handling of sensitive information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your choices

You choose what information to enter into RAC.
You may delete saved records through the app where deletion controls are available.
You control whether to export or share a report.
You may stop using RAC and uninstall the app at any time.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as RAC changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
